ASD Parent Support
Arbour Vale School hosted another successful coffee morning for the ASD Parents Support Group attended by our families and wider community. In total, nineteen parents attended. We had a guest speaker, Hillary Harvey, from South Bucks PDA Support Group, who delivered a very informative session about Pathological Demand Avoidance. This is the second time we have run this workshop during this academic year in response to huge demand from our parents.
Parents have learnt how to better support their children at home and where to find additional support and help. Billy Cousins, an active Communities Officer, also spoke at the workshop and sharing information about the Active Slough Winter Programme (see flier below) activities for different age groups and abilities available in Slough.
