Children in Need Talent Show
Arbour Vale School pulled out all the stops for this year’s Children in Need, hosting a brilliantly entertaining talent show that had the school on their feet.
Students took to the stage with confidence – singing, dancing, drumming and even recreating a scene from Star Wars, complete with lightsabers. The soundtrack was just as impressive, swinging from Katy Perry and George Ezra to Roy Orbison’s Pretty Woman.
Staff and students also got into the spirit with all things Pudsey, from bear ears and T-shirts to full-on onesies. Pudsey himself even made an appearance, popping up around the school to help collect donations for this fantastic cause.
This year’s Children in Need theme, “Challenge Yourself in 25”, encouraged everyone to take on a fun sponsored activity linked to the number 25. For our students, many of whom face a range of SEND challenges, it felt especially fitting. The theme inspired them to push past nerves, try something new and step boldly onto the stage in front of their friends, teachers and the school community.
And just when the audience thought the show was over, a couple of students surprised everyone by firing up some bhangra music and getting the whole room on their feet. Within seconds, the front of the hall became a lively dance floor, with students and staff joining in and loving every minute.
A fantastic end to an absolutely brilliant event.
