News Article Christmas Assembly

Christmas Assembly

By Fiona Wilkins - December 23rd, 2024 | Posted in Article

We started the last week of term with a special Christmas Assembly where we learnt about Christmas traditions and how Christmas is celebrated around the world. It was a very festive event with many pupils and staff wearing their Christmas jumpers and Santa hats.

The Post-16 and Secondary students took it in turns to perform a Christmas song and everyone was soon joining in. The Primary pupils had a special treat when they joined a Zoom performance of Christmas songs by the extremely popular Singing Hands group.

Certificates were also presented to the post-16 students who have completed a course in mentoring and helping out in classes and to those who had taken part in the Academy Trust’s Christmas card competition.

It was a very festive way to start the week, and everyone left the assemblies humming Christmas carols and with a little bit of a sparkle to their smile!
