Arbour Vale School (AVS) is a large special school in Slough and part of Orchard Hill College Academy Trust, a specialist multi academy trust. It is undertaking to formally change the planned number of places stated in the school’s funding agreement that it holds with the Department for Education (DfE)

Pupil Numbers

Arbour Vale School and the Trust are working with Slough Council to accommodate additional pupils on the current site to meet the demand for high quality SEN places. The proposed expansion would provide a further 40 places.

This consultation, therefore, is on the proposal to amend the Funding Agreement that Arbour Vale School holds with the Department for Education (DfE) to increase pupil places from 335 to 375 from September 2024.

Consultation Period

Arbour Vale School is holding a consultation on the proposal to make permanent the incremental increase within the school’s funding agreement by amending the planned places from 335 to 375 for September 2024.

The consultation on the proposal ran from

Wednesday 6th March to Wednesday 17th April 2024.

In order to answer any questions about the proposal, Public Meetings were held at the school on Wednesday 20th March at the following times:

10am to 11am

1.15pm to 2.15pm

We also held a virtual meeting on Wednesday 20th March at 4pm online.

Interested parties were invited to attend the meetings, complete an online survey, fill in a paper survey or send comments to the school.
