Coronations Celebrations

On Friday 5th May we celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III in style with a day of special activities. Everyone was invited to dress up for the day in red, white and blue or royalty themed outfits.

The day got off to a rousing start with a coronation assembly.  Pupils were reminded of the significance of the coronation and everyone joined in with songs. Our Post 16 king and queen then led a coronation parade around the school so everyone could admire the fantastic outfits and the coronation artwork made by each class.

Throughout the day groups of pupils from across the school took part in an art workshop led by a visiting artist, to create our own life-size King Charles statue.

After a picnic lunch in class and a trip to the ice-cream van, Early Years and Primary pupils took part in a music workshop. Meanwhile the Secondary and Post 16 pupils convened once more in the main hall for their Coronation Talent Show.

Thanks to everyone involved for making the day such a memorable and enjoyable occasion.
