Modern Foreign Languages

At Arbour Vale School Modern Foreign Languages are embedded in our phase focus days that take place each term.  We use these opportunities to give our pupils a taste of what life is like in some of the other countries across the world.

The Primary and Secondary phases identify the countries on which they wish to focus. Phases offer a range of activities linked to the life, language and culture of those countries.  The pupils also have the opportunity during whole school, phase assemblies and on focus days to showcase the learning and activities in which they have taken part.

In the Post 16 department students have the opportunity to learn Spanish as part of the options programme. It is taught by a native speaker and the methods used are very lively. Students have a lot of fun in their Spanish lessons.
