With the Easter Bunny2

Easter Activities at Burnham Lodge

Sixth Form students visited Burnham Lodge care home just before the Easter break. They joined some of the residents in Easter arts and crafts activities including making Easter baskets, decorating eggs and colouring Easter cards.

Staff also organised an Easter Egg hunt for the students who had to read clues and find letters that were hidden around the home and in the garden. All the groups successfully used the letter clues to spell out an Easter-related word. They were presented with an Easter egg by the Easter bunny for their efforts.

Another highlight of the visit was watching the newly hatched chicks in an incubator that residents had been looking at in the lounge.

Both the residents and the students enjoyed spending time in each other’s company with one resident saying he would treasure the Easter card one of the students had given to him.

Many thanks to the staff at Burnham Lodge who organised all the lovely activities and made us so welcome.
