Enterprise Week and Market Day at Arbour Vale School
We were delighted to welcome parents and carers into school for our two Market Days. Early Years and Primary held their market on Friday 14th June and Market Day for Secondary, PMLD and Post 16 took place the following Friday. The Market Days were the culmination Enterprise Week, when classes planned and prepared a business idea for their own market stall.
There were some fantastically creative ideas. Some examples include tie-died bags, jewellery, a range of snacks, craft items, pot plants and games.
Enterprise Week and Market Day gave the students an opportunity to develop a range of vocational and communication skills. It also enabled students to experience first-hand the excitement and ‘buzz’ of an actual market.
A huge ‘well done’ to all the students and staff involved for making both Market Days such a great success.
