Fantastic feedback

Over the past six weeks, we have been hosting a ‘Time Out for Special Needs?’ workshop.

The sessions were held on Zoom for our unique community. Throughout the course we saw parents and carers grow in confidence and explore new strategies. It was a fantastic experience and we are very proud of the achievements our families have made. We received some wonderful feedback:

“Being in a group, it was surprising and a relief, to realise that we are not alone”

This course put a break in my headless chicken run, to rethink how I dealt with previous situations under stress”

I realised that I need to change myself and my parenting style, in order to improve things at home. I have learnt a lot. Thank you for this fantastic course

We would like to say a huge thank you to all families who got involved, and to our partner charity Parenting Special Children for their continuing support and for providing AVS parents with such a fantastic range of resources. In particular, we would like to praise Lyn and Denise for delivering the course and sharing their incredible knowledge with such enthusiasm, motivation and empathy… a true inspiration!
