Industrial Cadets Award

A team of Key Stage 4 students recently achieved their Industrial Cadets Bronze Award. Industrial Cadets is a national award run by the Engineering Development Trust. The project involved designing a building for the future which can stand up to the effects of global warming and climate change.

The team had to carry out their own research, produce a written report, build a model, make a presentation and answer questions from a panel of industry experts. The project was started in February and lasted for three months.

In addition to gaining their Bronze Award certificates, the team was awarded a special commendation in the ‘Best STEM Solution’ category (STEM –Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

Congratulations to the students on their brilliant achievement!
