Literacy Curriculum updates workshop for parents
On Tuesday 30th September 2025, Arbour Vale School hosted a “ Literacy Curriculum Updates“ workshop run by Our Literacy Lead Charlene Ward. Parents were given the opportunity to meet and discuss about the different curriculums and resources we use and to ask any questions they had.
Feedback from parents was positive. Parents were asked what the most useful part of the workshop was. Below are some of their replies.
“ It was great to learn how my child is learning”
“ I gained further understanding with sounds using phonics and reading a book with my child”
“ It was good to know the different methods of how we can make communication easier/ better for our children”
“ Learning the different ways of teaching to model at home”
“ It was good to understand the different AVS Levels and techniques”
“ Interesting to hear about the strategies used to teach English”
