New School Minibus
We were delighted to receive our new minibus thanks to generous donations from The Lord’s Taverners and the Pen Trust. Representatives from The Lord’s Taverners and the Trust came to the school to hand over the new minibus.
The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity dedicated to giving disadvantage and disabled young people a sporting chance. Its motto is ‘Empowering Young People through Cricket’.
The Pen Trust raised money for the Lord’s Taverners charity when members of the company took part in a Deep to Peak Challenge in the Lake District. They had taken part in a 5km swim in Wastwater Lake, the deepest lake in the England and climbed Scafell Pike, the highest mountain which rises to 978m above sea level.

The Arbour Vale Association and the school added funds to ensure the minibus is top of the range and will be able to transport pupils of all abilities.
Neil Sykes, Principal, thanked the representatives for their donations on behalf of the school and said, “This new minibus will make a big difference to our school as it will enable us to take more of our pupils out into the community and to enjoy sporting and other opportunities.”
