Parent Support Group

Arbour Vale School hosted another successful coffee morning for parents that was delivered by  Sheryl Malcolm from the Autism Parents Support Group on Tuesday 29th March. 

Jenni Kelli from Slough Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) was invited to the event. She spoke to parents about the EHCP’s – How to read and understand the document, the law, and the rights of parents. She also discussed some individual questions and issues parents are having and presented the support available to parents from SENDIASS.

In total 15 families attended. We had very positive feedback and are planning to invite SENDIASS back to AVS in the near future and will let parents know the date as soon as we can.
