Parents

At Arbour Vale School we recognise that when you nurture a relationship with families, open up a dialogue and provide a support platform, the children ultimately benefit.

Home School Liaison Manager

My name is Manjula Odedra and I have worked at Arbour Vale School for over 20 years and undertaken many roles within this time.

At Arbour Vale school we understand that there are sometimes situations where a listening ear or additional support for families is needed. My role is to support parents and carers, and to liaise with school staff to ensure that all students flourish during their time at Arbour Vale.

I am part of the school safeguarding team who work closely with outside agencies, to support you and your child, offering a confidential service to families at times when they may have changes in their lives or just need a bit of extra support. I’m here to listen and offer support. If I don’t have the answer to your question, I will be able to sign post you to additional agencies who may be able to help you and your family. In addition to this, I can communicate and translate for parents who speak Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or Gujarati.

Finally, as a mum myself, I never forget how precious your children are and it is my aim to build strong relationships with you, so every child is happy, thriving and fulfilling their potential whilst at Arbour Vale School.

Home- School Partnership

Through a combination of support groups, educational sessions and social events, parents and carers at Arbour Vale School are given the tools and opportunities to be more involved in their children’s wellbeing and development.

When families are engaged, we can better meet the needs of our pupils. There is a greater mutual understanding and parents feel more supported.

It is important that you have the chance to fully take part in your child’s educational experience. We provide regular opportunities to come into school and join us for events which provide life-long memories.
