Platinum Jubilee Event
We will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Thursday 26th May with a pageant, musical entertainment and a raffle with some amazing prizes. Children can come to school dressed like royalty and will have the chance to make their own crown and sceptre. The whole school will have a picnic on the secondary playing field (weather permitting) and an ice cream van will be serving all pupils and staff a free ice cream.
Visitors are welcome from 1.30pm to enjoy the pageant and parade of costumes and listen to music from the marching band. There will also be a baking and painting competitions in the marquee and a free raffle ticket with some amazing prizes including a Team GB kit kindly donated by Olympic rower Jack Beaumont.
Pupils will be able to take part in a Treasure Hunt around school and meet some farm animals from Tom’s Farm based at Nightingale Community Academy, one of our sister schools in the OHCAT Trust. There will be a collection for the Arbour Vale Association to raise funds for the school.
The whole school and in particular our student ambassadors are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our royal celebrations.
