Sensory Processing Workshop
On Tuesday 20th May 2025, Arbour Vale School hosted a “Sensory Processing “workshop run by the OT Team. Parents were given the opportunity to meet the Occupational Therapists (OTs) and discuss sensory processing and strategies to support their children at home.
Feedback from parents was positive. Parents were asked what the most useful part of the workshop was. Below are some of their replies.
“I gained understanding about sensory processing”
“I understand needs of our child, how he needs to move and how to help him”
“ I gained further understanding about OT work”
“I learnt about sensory processing, so I can understand sensory needs better so I can help my child”
“There was a detailed explanation about sensory processing, learning about the 8 senses and how the brain processes information. Basically, everything was so useful”
