Successful Parenting Workshops
It has been such a great pleasure working in partnership with the fantastic charity, Parenting Special Children in running workshops aimed at supporting our parents in making their families lives better.
Together with Parenting Special Children we have been delivering courses and workshops over the past academic year. The feedback received through parent questionnaires as well as during meetings has been excellent and shows strong evidence that both courses, ‘Sleeping Difficulties ‘and ‘Who is in Charge?’ have been highly beneficial for the families involved. The training has fuelled genuine positive change within the individual families lives and we will be running these courses and others in the future.
The feedback we received was extremely positive and demonstrates the importance of such courses for our parents.
Feedback from one parent during his daughter’s Annual Review stated
Parents’ sessions are the best thing the school has ever done for us. They really make you think about yourself and how you have to change or adapt to help your child. It’s great to see that there are other people in the same situation as you, it nearly made him cry at one of the workshops, it was such a relief.
More examples of feedback regarding our workshops:
This course has opened my eyes to how behaviour affects people around me. It has been a great course and I’m very happy I came. The trainers have both been great, kind and caring
I found the course to be very helpful. It has given me a better understanding of how to bring up my children, that I am not a failure and there are many ways of dealing with situations
I think this has been an excellent group, this course should be rolled out in all schools as it would be very useful to all parents
