Supporting Transitions Workshop
On Tuesday 10th June 2025, Arbour Vale School hosted an “Supporting Transitions: Helping Children and young people thrive through change” workshop run by Educational Psychologist Beth Turner. Parents were given the opportunity to meet the Educational Psychologist and discuss their worries and concerns in relation to their children transitioning to the next phase/class.
Feedback from parents was positive. Parents were asked what the most useful part of the workshop was. Below are some of their replies.
“I met other parents where we shared experiences with each other and the challenges they have been facing, and what to expect with transition”
“I learnt how to help my son better with transitioning, to give him more time to cope with changes and use visuals to support”
“I enjoyed exchanging the transition views with all the parents”
“I got to meet with other parents and gained resources and tips from the talk”
