‘Who’s in Charge?’ course a huge success
We have had another incredibly successful ‘Who’s in Charge?’ course with many confident and happy parents thanks to Lyn’s and Denise’s dedication to providing an excellent course.
We were delighted to receive the following feedback from parents and carers who attended the course:
“The course put a break in my headless chicken run, to rethink how I dealt with previous situations under stress. It helped me to reshape my attitude, put in boundaries and know how to get them accepted by others. Being in a group, it was surprising (and a relief) to realise we are not alone.”
“The course has helped me understand my parenting style by looking deeper into my personality, more specifically, my weaknesses such as anger and passivity. Before the course, I was aiming to be a strict parent by setting too many rules. This led to friction and my health was suffering. Who’s in Charge? made me realise that I ought to aim for being a firm and assertive parent instead. I am grateful to Lyn and Denise for showing me how to go about doing just that. In my opinion, the toolkit (strategies, tips, guidance) offered is going to be relevant lifelong.’
‘Thank you very much for your help, by attending this course, I learnt a lot about different topics like assertiveness, resilience, gratitude and most of all staying positive in all situations. I have changed my way to deal with my son’s aggressive behaviour with compassion. Thanks again for your help.’
‘I have enjoyed each and every moment of my lessons. Sharing personal experiences and learning from the group and teachers was such a great experience that it is difficult to put into words.”
Many thanks for the support of Parenting Special Children Charity for their ongoing training for our families.
